The area around the Republic Square with the Municipal House is the historical heart of Prague with access to many interesting historic sight, stores, galleries and restaurants within steps of there. It is superbly located just next to the Powder Tower, medieval gate of entry to Prague, where remarkable King’s Road starts. This road leads directly to the Prague castle and in medieval times it was the only road served for King’s retinue. On the Republic Square starts the main pedestrian area, leading to the Old Town Square and the Wenceslas Square.
The south part of the city, easily reached from the centre. There is the Podoli aqua centre, where one can take advantage of its outdoor and indoor swimming pools, fitness centre and sauna. There is a path for cyclists running along the Vltava river and close by there is a beautiful "green oasis", a local forest-park called Hodkovicky. Visitors can reach the famous horseracing courts in Chuchle in about 15 minutes. You can play tennis right at the hotel or can opt for a 10-minute walk and play golf, or at least learn the basics, at the golf course in Hodkovicky.
Vinohrady is a residential district situated south-east of the top of the Wenceslas Square. It is an area with turn-of-century mansions and also shops, bars and restaurants. Vinohrady is located very close to the centre with excellent connection.
The area around the Old Town Square is the heart of the city. This is a free of traffic area, full of colourful houses of the medieval origin, Gothic and Baroque churches and also many pleasant restaurants, bars and clubs.
The area around the Florenc Metro stop is a busy, located on the edge of the centre. The location very close to the Prague´s high-way, the bus station and the train stations, makes it very accessible.
